The Biosciences and Bioengineering for Health (BGE) unit consists of three teams accredited by the supervisory bodies UGA, CEA, and Inserm.

The Biology and Biotechnology for Health laboratory conducts research covering both fundamental aspects of cell signaling and translational approaches. The work spans from "bench to bedside" using advanced technologies, including proteomics, genomics, novel drug screening, and the development of innovative biomedical devices.
Research projects focus on processes occurring under both physiological conditions, such as angiogenesis and tissue repair, and pathological conditions like rare diseases and certain cancers.
The Grenoble Department of Molecular Chemistry is a joint research unit (UMR-5250) associating the CNRS and Université Grenoble Alpes. Established on January 1, 2007, DCM brings together around 150 people whose scientific focus is directed towards major societal themes: health and well-being, and new energies, without neglecting fundamental aspects.
DPM focuses on pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, developing both fundamental research at the molecular level and applied research to meet hospital needs.
The Grenoble Institute of Neurosciences (GIN) was established in 2007 by INSERM, Université Grenoble Alpes, the CEA (Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission), and the Grenoble-Alpes University Hospital (CHU).
GIN brings together Grenoble teams specializing in the study of physiological and pathological processes of the nervous system and the development of innovative techniques to explore and treat them.
The mission of GIN is to study the central and peripheral nervous systems in order to understand how they work and to propose innovative therapies for neurological, neuromuscular, and psychiatric disorders.
GIPSA-lab is a joint research laboratory of the CNRS, Grenoble-INP-UGA, and Université Grenoble Alpes. It has partnership agreements with INRIA and the Grenoble Observatory of Universe Sciences. It conducts theoretical and applied research in AUTOMATICS, SIGNAL, IMAGES, SPEECH, COGNITION, ROBOTICS, and MACHINE LEARNING.
GIPSA-lab develops its research through 16 teams, or themes, organized into 4 poles: the Automation and Diagnostics Pole (PAD), the Data Science Pole (PSD), the Speech and Cognition Pole (PPC), and the Geometries, Learning, Information, and Algorithms Pole (GAIA).

ILCEA4 structures its research activities around three cross-cutting themes, each enabling cooperation among researchers from multiple languages.
The cross-cutting theme "Cultural Creation and Territory(ies)" examines the dialectical relationships between linguistic and political areas organized into territories, and the circulation and evolution of cultural and artistic expression forms.
The cross-cutting theme "Migrations, Borders, and International Relations" addresses the positioning or movement of humans and communities within territories or from one territory to another, from a perspective more closely linked to political, social, and economic issues.
The cross-cutting theme "Politics, Discourse, Innovation" focuses on all forms of discourse and the transition from one language to another, with an emphasis on political issues and technical and methodological innovations.

The Laboratory for Research on Learning in Context (LaRAC) is a multidisciplinary research laboratory rooted in the field of educational sciences and open to the international community.
The Laboratory of Linguistics and Didactics of Foreign and Mother Languages (Lidilem) currently brings together about sixty permanent members and around 70 doctoral students. All organize their work around the themes and programs that structure the laboratory's activities.
The work conducted within Lidilem falls within the scope of language sciences: linguistic descriptions, sociolinguistics, acquisition, creation and exploitation of corpora, language didactics, natural language processing, and the study of new forms of interaction driven by digital usage.
The LIG aims to be a laboratory focused on the foundations and development of computer science, while maintaining an ambitious openness to society to support its new challenges.
Inter-university Laboratory of Psychology: Personality, Cognition, Social Change (LIP/PC2S)
Established in 2016, the Litt&Arts research unit brings together about 70 faculty members, an equal number of PhD students in Literature and Performing Arts, a CNRS researcher, supported by a group of 4 digital humanities engineers (ELAN) and 5 administrative staff members. The "&" highlights its scientific ambition: to multiply fruitful intersections between literary studies and the arts of the stage and screen. These intersections follow two main paths: the first is "digital convergence," which provides new ways of processing texts as well as images, voices, and gestures; the second is research-creation supported by the Maison de la Création et de l'Innovation (MaCI in Grenoble), featuring state-of-the-art facilities for cinema, theater, dance, circus, and text-based digital arts.
The Jean Kuntzmann Laboratory is a joint research unit shared by Université Grenoble Alpes, CNRS, Grenoble INP, and Inria (UMR 5224).
It consists of three research departments in applied mathematics and computer science.
The Psychology and NeuroCognition Laboratory (LPNC) is a joint research unit (UMR) affiliated with the CNRS (Section 26 CNRS INSB, with a secondary affiliation to CNRS INSHS Section 34) and two universities (UGA and USMB). It is structured into five thematic research teams (Body and Space, Development and Learning, Language, Consciousness, Memory & MetaCognition, and Vision and Emotion), as well as a Babylab.
SENS studies the individual and social determinants of behaviors and practices in the field of physical and sports activities within a societal environment marked by profound changes.
The TIMC laboratory brings together scientists and clinicians around the use of digital sciences, applied mathematics, and life sciences for the understanding and control of normal and pathological health processes.
TIMC is an interdisciplinary unit in the field of Health Bio-Technologies, developing a research continuum in response to priority health themes inspired by and organized around healthcare stakeholders. Its work contributes both to basic knowledge in these fields and to the development of diagnostic and therapeutic support systems.
