A word from... Monica Baciu - Director of LabEx CerCoG
"The LabEx CerCoG is an interdisciplinary research program supported by Université Grenoble Alpes (UGA) and heavily involving Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Grenoble Alpes (CHUGA).
It aims to explore the connections between brain and cognition, covering a broad spectrum ranging from neuronal biology to clinical and societal research and applications.
Interdisciplinarity is at the heart of LabEx CerCoG, bringing together 75 teams from 18 laboratories, uniting neuroscientists, psychologists, linguists, computer scientists, clinicians, and engineers.
There are numerous clinical applications (innovative medical devices, cognitive remediation tools, tools to improve learning, optimize attention, and adapt teaching to cognitive profiles).
Innovation and valorization are driven through collaborations with industry and the creation of patents and software in artificial intelligence, cognition, and health.
The LabEx CerCoG project promotes open science and ethics, with a strong commitment to data transparency, reproducibility, and the training of early-career researchers.
Finally, LabEx CerCoG aims to enhance the international appeal of Grenoble-based research on the brain and cognition."
