Sleep: mechanisms, functions, and pathologies

The LabEx CerCoG (Brain & Cognition) of Université Grenoble Alpes is pleased to invite you to its autumn scientific seminar, which will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 9:00 AM, at MSH-Alpes (Saint-Martin-d'Hères).

Sleep is a fundamental biological process, essential for proper brain function and our health. This morning session will be an opportunity to discover recent research advances on sleep mechanisms, its links with cognitive functions, and its involvement in neurological pathologies.

We will have the pleasure of welcoming three specialists in the field:

🔹 Sébastien Baillieul – CHU Grenoble Alpes & Université Grenoble Alpes
Cerebral mechanisms of sleep and neuroimaging

🔹 Claire André – NeuroPresage, Université de Caen Normandie
Sleep, brain aging, and biomarkers of neurodegenerative diseases

🔹 Sarah Belhout – Université Paris Citė
Sleep signal analysis and physiology of states of vigilance
