In three words, I am... curious, thoughtful, and balanced


 

Currently a postdoc at GIN and STROBE, I am working on new treatment combinations for glioblastoma that couple focused ultrasound (FUS) with radiotherapy. After completing an engineering school, I did my Ph.D. at GIN under the supervision of Emmanuel Barbier and Chantal Pichon, focusing on the impact of blood-brain barrier (BBB) permeabilization by FUS on the brain, and more specifically on its microvascular properties and neuroinflammatory responses. Generally speaking, I am interested in the use of FUS for central nervous system tumors, its effects on healthy and tumor tissue, and the combination of this treatment modality with other innovative therapies.

Currently a Ph.D. student at LPNC at Université Savoie Mont Blanc, I am interested in REM sleep (REM sleep) and more specifically its microstructure, which is receiving growing scientific interest. My work, supervised by Jean-Baptiste EICHENLAUB and Pascal HOT, aims to characterize this microstructure and its evolution across the lifespan, in both normal and pathological aging, using large retrospective datasets.

After graduating from the University of Trento in Italy, I began my Ph.D. in Frédéric Saudou's group at GIN. My research aims to understand the role and dysfunction of axonal transport in Huntington's neurodegenerative disease.

PhD graduate with a joint thesis completed at the Grenoble Institute of Philosophy (IPhiG-UGA) and Macquarie University (Sydney) under the supervision of Kourken Michaelian and Neil Levy. Holding a Master’s degree in Philosophy followed by a Master’s degree in Cognitive Science, my research sits at the intersection of the philosophy of technology, ethics, and cognitive science. My thesis work focuses more specifically on the impact of emerging technologies on human memory through the study of cognitive prosthetics in both their therapeutic applications and their potential for cognitive enhancement. My work is framed within the theoretical framework of extended cognition, which considers the environment as constitutive of cognitive and affective processes, combining philosophical analysis, empirical research, and ethical questioning.

As a neurologist at the Grenoble University Hospital, specializing in Alzheimer's disease and related neurodegenerative pathologies, I also have a parallel interest in learning processes and medical pedagogy. In this context, I am pursuing a doctorate to improve neurology learning for medical students. More specifically, I am involved in the development of a tool that uses artificial intelligence and knowledge graphs to generate formative assessments. The ultimate goal is to promote effective learning strategies based on the principles of progressive, generative, spaced, and interleaved learning.


 

As a psychiatrist in the adult psychiatry department at the Grenoble-Alpes University Hospital, I head a unit dedicated to neuromodulation treatments, providing clinically validated care (electroconvulsive therapy, accelerated and robotic repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, ketamine and esketamine treatments) as well as research protocols (transcranial magnetic stimulation, transcranial electrical stimulation, vagus nerve stimulation, deep brain stimulation). My clinical activity is split between the day hospital of this unit and specialized consultations for treatment-resistant depression and other psychiatric disorders requiring neuromodulation. I also conduct specialized consultations for bipolar disorders within the Bipolar Disorders Expert Center.

After a Ph.D. in neuroscience under the supervision of Prof. Mircea Polosan and Dr. Julien Bastin at the Grenoble Institute of Neurosciences (GIN), followed by a postdoctoral fellowship supervised by Prof. Fabien Vinckier at the Paris Brain Institute (ICM) within the Motivation, Brain and Behavior team, I am currently continuing my research at GIN in the Brain, Behavior and Neuromodulation team led by Dr. Julien Bastin. I study alterations in motivation and reward processing in mood disorders (bipolar disorders and depression) using behavioral tasks, neurocomputational modeling, and brain imaging. The objective is to better understand the pathophysiology of these disorders, identify predictive biomarkers of treatment response, and develop personalized management strategies, particularly through neuromodulation.

In addition to my clinical and research activities, my academic hospital position as a University Hospital Practitioner (PHU) allows me to undertake teaching duties at Université Grenoble-Alpes, primarily at the Faculty of Medicine, where I teach in initial and continuing education in psychiatry.

I am a postdoctoral researcher in cognitive neuroscience at the GIN, studying the mechanisms of psychiatric and neurological disorders under the supervision of Brigitte Piallat. After completing a PhD at Université Grenoble Alpes co-supervised by LPNC and GIN, followed by a postdoc at the University of California, San Francisco in the Department of Psychiatry and the Weill Institute for Neurosciences, I am currently working on personalizing deep brain stimulation using invasive electrophysiological markers through a closed-loop approach (adaptive stimulation). My goal is to identify biomarkers that allow stimulation to be adjusted in real time to optimize its therapeutic efficacy.

My research combines behavioral approaches, electrophysiological recordings (EEG, sEEG, and intracerebral local field potentials), decision-making process modeling, and wearable electronic trackers (smart rings and watches) for ecological measurements in real-life conditions. I am also developing a new project incorporating video-polysomnography recordings to explore the links between brain activity, sleep, and cognitive functioning in Parkinson's disease. I am particularly interested in non-motor symptoms and the interactions between brain activity, confidence, decision-making, and affective states, with the aim of identifying new therapeutic avenues for neurocognitive disorders.

I also teach discussion sections at Université Grenoble Alpes in undergraduate programs for Psychology, and Mathematics and Computer Science Applied to Human and Social Sciences.

 

In three words, I am... thorough, observant, and dedicated

 

As a Ph.D. student at GIPSA-lab, I am conducting my dissertation research under the supervision of Maëva Garnier and Tiphaine Caudrelier, at the intersection of language sciences and cognitive neuroscience. My research focuses on the motor control of speech—that is, how the brain interacts with articulatory systems to produce speech sounds and adapt their production to environmental constraints. More specifically, I am interested in the sensorimotor adaptation of speech, with the goal of modeling this adaptation as a trade-off between the intelligibility required in a given communicative context and the articulatory effort needed to adapt.

 

I am a neurologist at the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Grenoble Alpes, specializing in epilepsy and more specifically in pre-surgical evaluations for drug-resistant focal epilepsies, including stereoencephalography.
My research at GIN spans multiple themes, among others: insulo-opercular epilepsies, microelectrode recordings, and experiential phenomena. I also collaborate on various projects with different teams at GIN.
I am currently in my first year of a science PhD at EDISCE, working on the B2B project, which aims to develop the first functional brain atlas of epileptic clinical signs.
